Departmental Museum

The Departmental museum caters a collection of objects of academic interests.

  • In the form of mounted specimens, dry specimens, models, plates, charts etc
  • There are eight Departmental Museums in the Departments of Anatomy, Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Forensic Medicine, Community Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology
  • The well maintained, orderly displayed specimens with labelling and proper description in catalogue as well as in details in front of the specimens and models
  • The catalogue system in museum is maintained according to MCI criteria
  • Provide the students’ knowledge under the guidance of teachers for their subject of interest
  • There are sitting arrangements in the museum where faculties and students can sit and read for the museum specimens in details for knowledge and research purposes
  • A museum register is well maintained in the Department and periodically updated
  • Provision for preparing the specimen and models in the departments are available for making the museum expandable
